Ideomotion develops mobility devices that help people experience safe, productive time on their feet - giving them back the independence a wheelchair takes away.

Our story

Ideomotion was founded by Charlie Gutierrez, a designer and inventor who saw firsthand how limited mobility options were for people who wanted to stand and walk again. The result was the LiftWalker - a patented electric lift device built from stainless steel that raises users from a seated position to standing and supports them as they walk.

After years of refining the design with real patients - children with cerebral palsy, adults recovering from spinal cord injuries, and families looking for something better - we developed the next generation: the Traveler.

What we believe

Standing matters. Walking matters. Not just for physical health, but for dignity. Every person who can bear weight deserves a device that meets them where they are and helps them go further.

We build for the long term - stainless steel frames, aircraft-grade components, adjustable fits from 3'6" to 6'6". No planned obsolescence. No disposable parts. Devices that last because the people who use them deserve that.
